We are now accepting applications for an appointment as a research assistant for summer, 2008. We have funding for two assistants to work for 8 weeks during the summer. The research will involve work on DLSim 3, the latest version the digital logic circuit simulator that we use in CS 210. It may include
- software development work on DLSim 3 or associated tools
- development of sample circuits (such as a complete CPU) using DLSim 3
- writing a user’s guide
The term of the assistantship is 8 weeks at a pay rate of $8.00 per hour. We have some flexibility in exactly which 8 weeks you would work, but we are especially interested in students who will be available for the month of June, since we will be preparing for a demonstration of the software at a conference around July 1.
To qualify, you should have completed CS 151 and CS 210 by the end of this semester. To apply, send a note to either Rich or John describing your interest in the position, a list of the computer science courses you have taken, and any other relevant experience.
The deadline for applications is April 18. If you have any questions, please contact either Rich rms@cs.oberlin.edu or John john.donaldson@oberlin.edu in the Computer Science Department King 223
